Terms of Use

Using this website

These Terms of Use apply when you browse this website, create an account, use shopping features, submit a custom cake request, or place an order with Hansel & Gretel Bakery. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.

If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

Product information and availability

We aim to present products, descriptions, images, ingredients, sizes, prices, and availability accurately. Bakery products are handmade and may vary from photographs. Availability, recipes, decoration, and pricing can change, and errors may be corrected before an order is accepted.

Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in Canadian dollars and applicable taxes may be added.

Orders and acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted only when the bakery confirms it. We may decline or cancel an order because of availability, pricing or description errors, suspected misuse, payment issues, or another reasonable operational concern. Any payment collected for a cancelled order will be handled using the applicable payment method and disclosed terms.

While this website is in preview mode, sample products and test orders are illustrative and do not create a real bakery order or charge a payment card.

Custom cakes

A custom cake form or builder helps communicate your preferences and may provide an estimate. It does not guarantee availability or confirm a booking. Design, serving size, ingredients, timing, pickup, and final price are confirmed directly by the bakery before a custom order is accepted.

Pickup, changes, and cancellations

You are responsible for providing accurate contact, order, and pickup information and for collecting an accepted order at the confirmed time and location. Change, cancellation, refund, and return terms may depend on the product and preparation already completed. The terms disclosed with the order or confirmed by the bakery will apply.

Allergens and dietary information

The bakery handles common allergens, including wheat or flour, dairy, eggs, and nuts. Ingredient and dietary information should be confirmed directly with the bakery before ordering. Although reasonable care may be taken, an allergen-free environment or absence of cross-contact cannot be guaranteed unless the bakery expressly confirms otherwise in writing.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit harmful code, collect information about others without permission, or use website content unlawfully.

Website content and third-party services

Website text, branding, graphics, photographs, and design are owned by or licensed to Hansel & Gretel Bakery and may not be copied or commercially reused without permission. Links and services provided by third parties are governed by their own terms and practices.

Disclaimers and responsibility

The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every website detail will always be error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Liability, where it can lawfully be limited, is limited to losses reasonably connected to the affected order or website use.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. Questions may be sent through the Visit & Contact page.

We may revise these terms as the website or bakery services change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. See our Privacy Policy for information about personal information.
